Speed of light - The Quays Greater Manchester's Waterfront

100 runners created a stunning public artwork - beautiful and breathtaking. An extraordinary free public art performance, brought The Quays to life this March. 

The night time work uses light, international movement and sound to change the way we see and feel about a chosen environment.Hundreds of runners in specially commissioned LED light suits created beautiful, choreographed patterns of light flowing through streets, over bridges and around public spaces,buildings and alongside canals.
